wordpainting: So existential, and I so disagree with this. This is true of societies values about a person, but people have worth regardless of what they make of themselves. If Sartre is correct, then those who are down and out, homeless, and destitute due to mitigating circumstances, are in essence, useless and have no value. So why bother? But that’s Sartre’s point. What’s your answer?
